Top 5 YouTube Tech Channels

Here is my pick and enjoy !

5. Austin Evans

Austin Evans has a great approach when creating videos in a different and unique way. For example, Austin produced a fun video where he builds a gaming PC with his dad and it was really entertaining when he was teaching his dad how to create a basic PC build from scratch (linked below). In addition Evans tech channel will sometimes dig deeper to find out whether a piece of tech is worth buying for its price tag in which he gives a range of pros and cons for the certain piece of tech. His popular videos are the PC builds such as, he might review a mid-range PC build which he reviews and gives the pros and cons on it. My favourite video that I have enjoyed was when Evans went to the LA Auto show (linked below) in search of cool looking cars and how there is a lot of tech that is built-in a vehicle.

4. TechRax

TechRax whose real name is Taras Maksimuk is known for his crazy, eccentric and outlandish acts on technology products such as, pouring gallium on an iPhone 6 plus, extreme bending on an Iron man Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge ! (Which is a rarity and collector’s item). He proves to be very popular with over 2.5 million subscribers due to his interesting videos though, some people do object his stunts on the tech because he is just simply wasting money and it is just plain stupidity. However when I watch these videos it does bring joy and excitement as to what will happen to the tech when the stunt is taking place also, will the product still function after the stress it has been put on.

3. Android Authority
I am just focusing on the YouTube channel not the site, just a mention. Android Authority is quite popular within the tech community and there is some notice within the average consumer. AA (Android Authority) covers extensive broadcasts on their channel from a video about rumours on upcoming smartphones, gadgets and more .They regularly review smartphones from flagships to low cost budget smartphones and give their thoughts and impressions. What I mainly like about their channel is that they introduce various phones that are not mentioned as much but are good choices to consider when buying say, a smartphone. For example, the Acer Predator 8 Tablet (linked below, worth a look) which, I did not know about caught my eye due to the striking build of the tablet shown in the thumbnail of the video. Another part I prefer on AA is how their team is set up e.g. Joshua Vergara will cover the “flagship smartphones” and Lanh Nguyen will cover the “mid-range smartphones” whereas Jayce Broda will regularly do a video on Android Weekly.

2. Unbox Therapy

Known as Lewis Hiltsenteger (or Lew) he unboxes an extensive variety of tech products such as: Phones, Games consoles, audio products and a lot more. With over 2.5 million subscribers Lew is proven popular all around the world most notably his most watched video the iPhone 6 Plus bend test which, racked up over 67 MILLION VIEWS. Furthermore on a weekly basis he uploads a video on “3 Cool Tech Deals” (linked below) which as the title says, is his take on the price slashed tech products and accessories that are good and worth the price (deals on Amazon). His videos are well crispy and Lew gives his first impressions on the product and how it works. What is most appreciated is that it is like the viewer (me) is part of the unboxing experience thus feeling that ecstasy and enthusiasm when unboxing pretty much anything we look forward to consuming.

1.  Marques Brownlee

Marques Brownlee (MKBHD) usually reviews occasionally smartphones and tablets. At first for example, he will give his first impressions on the tech product and then review it also, he sometimes does Q&A to give a response to his followers questions. MKBHD videos are very popular due to his videos being edited to near perfection on YouTube and that he always uploads in HD now viewable in 4K. What is really astounding is all the great video is done by him from recording to editing and voiceovers. Moreover Brownlee shows true inspiration to youtubers who are just starting up YouTube through him using screencasts. What ultimately puts him ahead of the curve is that he can manipulate the average viewer on how the product is and, what to expect is one buys the product.
